    Bora Aşık

    Born in 1990 in Istanbul, the artist won an achievement award with his story "Harvest" at the Second GİO Awards organized by FABİSAD in 2014. He graduated from Marmara University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, in 2015. In the same year, he won the Everest Publications First Novel Award with his novel "Surviving the Night." In 2019, he had the opportunity to exhibit his drawings at the Mamut Art Project. In 2021, he held his first solo exhibition at Mixer Arts. The artist, who has participated in various group exhibitions, continues his drawing and writing activities in Istanbul.


    The artist defines language as the fuel of thought. He seeks ways to preserve the ‘purity’ of this fuel as much as possible and to reach beyond the ‘reality’ that is presented to us. He believes that the boundaries of imagination can be expanded through the intersection of visual and literary language.
