Seniha Ünay
She graduated from the Painting Department of Mersin Nevit Kodallı Anatolian Fine Arts High School in 2005 and from the Painting Department of Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2009. In 2015, she completed the Integrated Doctorate Program in the Painting Department at Hacettepe University Institute of Fine Arts.
In 2023, she was accepted into the international circulation program of Culture for Space with the project “Umwelt.” In the same year, she realized the project “Garden Day” in the Daire Sanat Open Studio Guest Artist program.
In 2022, she completed the project “Near the Landscape, Very Far Away” with the support of the CultureCIVIC Artistic Production Fund.
In 2021, she participated in the workshop #life #justice #art coordinated by Mişar Art and led by curator Kevser Güler.
Between 2020 and 2021, she conducted the “Narratives Interview Series” within the Contemporary Art Archive.
In 2015, she received the exhibition award in the Siemens Art “Borders Orbits Competition” and the success award in the “Young Contemporary Art Project Competition.”
In 2011, she continued her studio work as a guest artist in the guest artist program of the Austrian Ministry of Culture, Art, and Education and at the Cer Modern Arts Center in Ankara.
Since 2022, she has been co-managing ÇAPAK Writing Drawing Magazine with Esra Oskay. She works in the Painting Department of Düzce University Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture and continues her work in the same city.
